Alia Govani is the Vice President of Accounting at Madhouse Development Services, Inc. Combining her years of experience in the construction and real estate tax compliance arena, along with data analytics provide a new insight to our portfolios. As VP of Accounting, Alia’s primary responsibilities include overseeing all accounting functions, financial statements, and budgeting.

Prior to joining Madhouse, Alia was a tax manager at a top 15 accounting firm specializing in low income housing and historic tax credits. She was involved with seeing projects from construction through year 15 from an income tax compliance perspective. She managed over 150 real estate partnerships containing some form of tax credit or incentive (LIHTC, HTC, 45L, NMTC, 179D deduction, EB-5, and opportunity zones). 

Alia graduated University of Houston with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and then went on to receive a Master of Business Administration from University of Houston-Victoria. She has over 10+ years of accounting and analytic experience, with half of those years focused on low income housing. When not at work Alia enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies include traveling, working out, and cooking.
